Parenting Autism
Your hosts are Chris and Sandy Colter, the parents of Bryce, who share their autism journey with stories about their nine year old son who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at age two. The podcast is designed to connect with families who have been touched by autism and people who want to learn more about their world. You'll learn all about how they deal with day to day challenges and how you might apply it to your own life. It also sheds light on the "Mommy and Daddy" perspectives of parenting on the autism spectrum. Find their podcast on all of the popular platforms including Spotify, Apple iTunes, Google, Audible, Castbox, and Podbean. Also, follow their Facebook and Instagram pages. Their website (www.parentingautismshow.com) includes helpful resources on a variety of topics.

E112: Happy News: BOOK LAUNCH + Heartfelt News: Bryce's Reading Challenges
In this episode, we announce the launch of our paperback book "PARENTING AUTISM The Early Years". It's available on Amazon to purchase for yourself or to gift to someone who you know needs to read it.

We also have a "real conversation" about this past week's reading consultation for Bryce and how we worked through a very rare disagreement that had us both in tears because of our hurting hearts for Bryce. We were also hurting for each other. Autism is not an easy journey to travel. If feelings and hurts are buried, they will eventually erupt.
Lastly, we shared Bryce's new Etsy Store information: ARTIGRAPHSforAUTISM. Bryce is creating paintings to sell for a new refrigerator. Ours is too boring for him. With the holiday season upon us, we are helping him with his project.

Bryce is a funny, mechanical, HAPPY little guy who was diagnosed with autism at age two and is now ten years old. His pure joy makes this world a much better place!
We are humbled and honored to follow our calling and be Autism Ambassadors while helping others understand our world a little more than they did before listening to the podcast. We also feel called to bring light to a community that has experienced dark days after the "diagnosis". (Luke 1:79)
